A gift with a story

Add a QR code to a gift that its new owner can make their own.

QRmia offers two types of QR codes. An ordinary QR code is immediately linked to its creator’s email. This link is permanent: the code cannot be transferred to another user or linked to another email.

Sometimes a QR code is made for someone else. You may want to print it on a T-shirt, mug or souvenir, attach it to a gift, or prepare an item that another person will use later.

QRmia has unclaimed QR codes for this purpose. Initially, they are not linked to any email. The recipient scans the code, signs in with their email and claims it. They can then give the item a title, description and photo.

These QR codes can be unlinked and passed to another user again. The same sticker or printed code can therefore change owners repeatedly along with the item.

The QR code becomes part of the gift: you create the item, and its recipient continues its story.
